(Prior to your designated meeting, the ladies should be asked to bring the following items:  a prized possession, an item their child (or a child special to them) has made and given to them and something from a special friend.)

Read the scripture:  “But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break on or steal; for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”  Matthew 6:20 & 21

What are some of the treasures of your heart?

I.                 Possessions

a.              Have several ladies volunteer to share about their prized possession.

b.              Express the importance of earthly possessions but these possessions will all fade away.

c.              Earthly possessions cannot be taken with us.

II.                Children

a.              Have several ladies volunteer to share about an item their child has made and given to them.

b.              Psalm 127:3 says, “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”

c.              Children are important to us and God.

III.               Friends

a.              Have several ladies volunteer to share about something from their special friend.

b.              “A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.  Proverbs 17:17

c.              We could never make it in life without our friends.

IV.             Jesus

a.              Testimonies about God’s goodness can be shared at this point from several ladies.

b.              Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith. – Prov. 15:16.  Even though we may have little of worldly possessions if we have Jesus in our hearts that is our true treasure.

c.              For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
