Hebrews 10:25Hebrews 10:25
English: American Standard Version (1901) - ASV

25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting [one another]; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh.

exhorts us: “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

If the pew at your church could talk, what would it say?

“Where have you been, I missed you?”

“Wake up, this is no time to take a nap.”

“Where is everybody else?”

“Is that all you are going to put in the offering? Really!!!!”

“Do you know the presence of the Lord is here? Then, act like it!”

Even though we all know a pew cannot actually speak to us, these comments help us reflect on our actions and attitudes at church.

The above scripture in Hebrews admonishes us to be faithful in assembling together with people of like faith, and to encourage and support each other even more so as we see the day approaching.

Not only does your regular attendance at church lift you up spiritually but it is an encouragement to others as well.

What would your church pew say to you?
