states, “Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

What does it mean to train? The dictionary indicates that to train is an order of occurrence leading to some result or an orderly succession. In other words, training is a positive step in rearing a child.

mother & cookiesA godly mother has an integral part in teaching her child all the important things in life.  First of all, she will teach her child to remember God, the Creator, above all things. She will also give her child unique and special love and hope that each one will become a personality all their own and enter into a life filled with possibilities.

The incomparable love a mother feels for her child is priceless. How is this love exemplified? She gives . .

  • Laughter to a complacent child;
  • Optimism to a dubious child;
  • Loving discipline to each small misdeed and
  • Encouragement to be all they can be.

A mother does a lot of things: teacher, nurse, counselor, chauffeur, cook, and friend; just to name a few.  She expects nothing in return. It is difficult to understand how a mother can keep up the non-stop pace in caring for her child but she does because of her love for her child.

Yes, mother is love!

happy mothers day

God is Love

Valentine’s Day is a holiday that helps us focus our attention to those we love. I looked up some synonyms for the word “love.” They include: affection, devotion, fondness and infatuation. As you can see, these indeed are phrases that help us navigate our thoughts toward that special person in our lives.

Many people exemplify genuine love daily through their actions toward their family and others with whom they come in contact. I strive to attain that attribute.

As I become mindful of demonstrating love to others, I realize that God shows us unconditional love every day for “God is Love”. I John 4:16John 4:16
English: American Standard Version (1901) - ASV

16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.

WP-Bible plugin
ASV states, And we know and have believed the love which God hath in us. God is love; and he that abideth in love abideth in God, and God abideth in him.” No other descriptive word is needed. This scripture says it all.

God is the source of love. His love toward us is not contingent upon who we are, what we have done or what we have not done. It is the essence of who He is . . . . “love”. He desires only the best for us. As God’s love is mirrored through us to others, we should be the perfect reflection of His love.

Thank God that He loves me just the way I am. Help me to love others in the same way.

God is Love!!!!

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT THE BOOK OF RUTH – A STORY OF LOVE AND REDEMPTION

Each episode detailed in Ruth teaches lessons—of God’s plan, precise and solid. Ruth reminds us of God’s plans; the ones we might not understand, yet vibrant in His eyes.  The theme illustrates the journey that can take one to places impossible for man, but possible with God. The story of Ruth as highlighted in this book opens a new revelation of God’s hand at work. His grace is active in the life of those who choose to obey in humility and commitment. The prayer at the end of each lesson brings a challenge for all and ushers relevance to us today.

I love the story of Ruth. Deborah shed light on the truths in this inspiring book in the Bible. I love that she showed the connection between Ruth and Boaz, and Christ and the church. Even though I’ve studied Ruth before, Deborah pointed out several details that I hadn’t known. It’s amazing how God speaks through His children. Deborah has a loving, humble heart for the Lord. You can see her heart throughout the book. I am so happy for her first release! I look forward to more books from Deborah in the future! Great job, Deborah:)
